Fight For Iowa on Facebook

2010 Iowa Hawkeye Recruiting Class

Signing day was rather humdrum for the Hawkeyes as all 21 of the players who had verbally committed signed their letters of intent early this morning. There were no surprise additions or retractions, no suspenseful waiting (though some were slightly worried that OL Andrew Donnal may have gotten a late Ohio State offer), no melodramatic press conference with an array of baseball caps... That's not to say though, that this recruiting class isn't exciting. It is full of talented young men and includes a couple of players who could have an immediate impact. There are 13 players coming in to play defense, though the offense has the more highly touted recruits in A.J. Derby, C.J. Fiedorowicz, Marcus Coker, and Donnal.

Signing Day 2010

Happy National Signing Day! Later today the Hawkeyes are expected to have 21 young men sign letters of intent to play for Iowa. The latest commitment came yesterday from safety Tanner Miller of Mid-Prairie in Wellman, Iowa. Miller was previously committed to UNI, but visited Iowa over the weekend and came away with a scholarship offer.

Pitt to the Big Ten?

The rumor mill is churning and it's picking up speed...the word on the street, and by street I mean Twitter and Pitt's message boards, is that on February 4th there will be a press conference announcing that Pittsburgh will join the Big Ten Conference.

A.J. Edds in the Senior Bowl

If you have the NFL Network (I sadly do not), then tune in today at 3:00 PM to see linebacker A.J. Edds in action. He will be playing for the North team in the Under Armour Senior Bowl.
